This too shall pass is an ongoing project which started as a response to the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake. Its aim was to support the regeneration of contemporary jewellery gallery The National by engaging the wider community in small acts of generosity. Money is raised by the sale of THIS TOO SHALL PASS ribbons, which are:
- assembled by well-wishers who volunteer their time, then
- distributed by galleries that waive their commission fees, then
- gifted on by purchasers to anyone they know who could need a little extra help
The display progressively turns gold as ribbons are lifted from the gallery wall.
The project toured NZ, Australia, South America and Europe. Exhibitions included:
- 2017
- 2016 Specials, Handshake Alumni, Einsaulensaal, Munich, Germany
